What kind of help is available if you’re a real estate professional and managing your own business? One of the best resources you can utilize is to find an experienced Real Estate Virtual Assistant. But how do you go about doing this?

First, think about some of the ways an assistant could help you. If you know that you would gain more time and freedom to pursue important priorities, then making the decision to hire an employee or virtual assistant becomes easier. Whether it’s having more time to yourself or freeing up your energy to focus on other things, a little help goes a long way.

I’m going to share with you some additional steps that might help you determine if you need a Real Estate Virtual Assistant.

  1. Spend a few minutes focusing on yourself and your business direction. To realize the benefits in working with an assistant, imagine that you have your entire day to do things like generate more income, develop lasting relationships with clients, or just have more personal time. Even though you know you need these things, this first step may be one of the hardest to overcome, so stop and think about it. Tell yourself you deserve more time and that if you have more freedom and energy you will be a better and more successful real estate professional.
  2. Next, make a list of three tasks that you either know you hate doing or that you scramble to get done in the umpteenth hour. Put down whatever comes to mind first; don’t think about the details. For example, say you dislike the time it takes to create a listing advertisement to submit to newspapers or researching companies for ordering your promotional material (such as business cards, calendars, etc.). What about the time you spend organizing those company receipts and statements or entering new customer contacts into your database?
  3. Take your list and determine how long it takes to complete each task. If you’re not sure, make your best guess. For example: 30 minutes, 1 hour, and so on.
  4. Put your imagination to work and picture, instead, that you have a reliable support system in place. How much of your day has been freed up? What do you imagine yourself doing instead? Look at your list again and cross out those tasks you dislike and write underneath them those things you would like to do instead. For example: Connecting with prospects, focusing on completing a market evaluation for customers, doing research for your buyer, or playing a game of golf.
  5. Now that you have a sneak preview of what is possible, can you see yourself feeling happier, more content, less overwhelmed and able to focus your energy and make better business decisions? If the answer is yes, the decision to hire an assistant may greatly benefit you.

When you have a Real Estate Virtual Assistant you can confidently open the door to business solutions for yourself and your clients. As a real estate professional, the decision will give you more flexibility and bring continued success.
